Founder Allan Rendell began his career with a trade apprenticeship in radio communications and industrial electronics — a technical grounding that instilled an early discipline in systems, problem-solving, and precision under pressure. That foundation carried through more than two decades of senior management roles, including Senior Manager positions with the Vass Theatre Group, Actors Centre Australia, and Willoughby City Council’s Performing Arts Unit, where he led multi-venue operations, drove strategic and sustainability frameworks, and managed complex stakeholder, financial, and governance requirements at board level.
In recent years, this operational and strategic expertise has extended into advanced technology and materials science, working alongside organisations such as Cyrion Technologies and GlassKote Technologies on projects spanning AI-driven materials science, sustainable manufacturing, and next-generation building materials.
Across these very different worlds — theatre and venue operations, local government, advanced manufacturing, and emerging technology — a consistent pattern emerged: the organisations that solved problems fastest were rarely the ones with the deepest specialist knowledge alone. They were the ones able to draw on ideas, methods, and practices from entirely different industries and apply them where no one else was looking.
